The Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) is planning the procurement of a portable photosynthesis system for research purposes to be used in field conditions, in Jokioinen Finland. With this market survey / prior information notice Luke surveys the market and potential suppliers for the supply of portable photosynthesis systems in order to carry out the possible future competitive tendering process in an appropriate manner.
The prospective equipment to be purchased is intended to be used for measuring of photosynthesis in field and greenhouse crops. Because of the usage in field conditions, the device must have a long battery life. For research purposes the accuracy of measurements is essential. Spare parts and maintenance must be available for the device. The device also must include a possibility to save and tranfer data to cloud services. The device must be suitable for measuring plants with different types and sizes of leafs (and needles).
The purpose of this market survey phase of the procurement is to identify what kind of equipment is available on the market. The market survey is accompanied by an invitation to a market dialogue, where the contracting entity can enter into a further dialogue concerning the content and terms of the procurement with the suppliers that have expressed their interest in this procurement. The contracting entity also reserves the right to send procurement documents to interested suppliers for comments by email before they are published. The procurement of this equipment is planned to be carried out in the Q3 / Q4 of 2025.
The contracting entity invites the interested suppliers to participate in the market dialogue by sending their expression of interest and contact details (contact person, email address) by email to [email protected] and a copy to [email protected] preferably by 21 June 2025 at the latest. The email should be titled /identified with “LUKE/2269/02.10.01.00.05/2025 / MARKET SURVEY Portable Photosynthesis System".
