Kuvaus
Leijona Catering Oy uses candies as part of ambient product solutions. Candies are part of multiple different meals, which are usually served in operational field conditions.
We are seeking a framework agreement supplier for a two-year contract period. The framework agreement does not grant exclusive rights to supply the product in question. The supplier supplies the goods in large batches, typically full pallets of single-packed rations (1-5 candies per ration) for Leijona Catering. Candies must fulfil the presented technical requirements.
Estimated yearly volume is around 100 000 single packed products. The maximum volume that can be purchased through this framework agreement is 300 000 single packed products.
Supplier must have the ability to offer minimum of two (2) different flavours, that will fulfil technical requirements.
Invitation to tender will be used to select two (2) or maximum three (3) suppliers to the framework agreement. Leijona Catering is not obligated to buy any products from selected supplier(s). Leijona is allowed to purchase similar products from the selected supplier(s) under this framework agreement.
Purchases under 60 000 € can be bought directly from selected suppliers, and over purchases over 60 000 € will be tendered among framework agreement suppliers.
Weight of the box where products are placed cannot exceed 400 kg. The box needs to withstand storage handling and transportation by food delivery fleet. If the box is over 20 kg, it needs to be delivered on a top of a pallet.
Required features of the product:
Non-permitted ingredients, including “may contain” mentions:
Milk and lactose ("milk sugar”)
Wheat and gluten
Nuts
Other EU-listed allergenic ingredients
Product must be shelf-stable at room temperature.
The sugar content must exceed 70% of the product’s weight.
The product must have minimum of 130 kcal of energy (per 100g).
The product needs to receive minimum of 6 points from flavour assessment (in scale of 1-9 points), to be eligible. Flavour, appearance and texture will be evaluated in the flavour assessment by a group of end users.
The product must be easy to eat in terms of hardness and usability. This is assessed based on the ratio of the size and hardness of an individual candy.
Product needs to be usable within a temperature range of -20 to +28 degrees Celsius.
Minimum shelf-life: 24 months from point of delivery
The product packaging must not contain any direct or indirect messaging unrelated to the product.
Product net weights should be between 25-55g. Products must be single-packed. The packaging must be easy to open by hand. The products are packed into boxes or bags for handling purposes, and a box should contain minimum of 100 pcs.
Desired feature of the product:
The product is valued for its salt content, suitable for replenishing electrolytes (e.g. potassium, magnesium) lost during prolonged exertion.
The outer package of the product must include standard consumer information in Finnish, Swedish, and English.
