This is a Request for Information (RFI) for Salesforce development services. With this RFI, Aalto University is seeking information on suppliers interested in delivering the services described.
Aalto University is a Finnish multidisciplinary university combining science, technology, business, and art. With a strong focus on innovation, digitalization, and sustainability, Aalto brings together around 12,000 students and 4,500 staff members on its campus in Espoo, Finland. For more information, visit: https://www.aalto.fi
Aalto University is seeking partners for Salesforce Core development.
Current in-house development team is growing and already operating with high quality. External services will work in close cooperation with this internal team.
A description of Aalto University’s Salesforce environment can be found in Appendix 1. "Service platform services" (requires login to the Cloudia Supplier Portal).
REQUIREMENT FOR SALESFORCE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
Aalto University is developing its internal Salesforce capabilities and is exploring options for external support. We are especially interested in understanding supplier capabilities in two complementary areas:
1. Full Delivery Capability. This includes the ability to take responsibility for end-to-end delivery of defined development initiatives or projects. Such engagements typically involve:
• Multidisciplinary teams including Scrum Masters and developers
• Close collaboration with Aalto’s internal team
• Working in both English and Finnish
• On-site presence when needed
2. Resource Pool. This refers to the ability to provide individual experts or small teams to strengthen Aalto’s internal development capacity. Typical expectations include:
• Integration into our in-house team and processes
• Working fluency in English
• Availability during Finnish working hours
• Remote work by default
ADDITIONAL REQUEST FOR FEEDBACK ON MARKETING CLOUD COMPETENCE
Aalto University is also exploring how best to procure expertise related to Salesforce Marketing Cloud, in support of marketing automation and communications needs.
We are interested in supplier perspectives on suitable procurement models and delivery structures for Marketing Cloud, including potential integration or separation from Core development services.
INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO RESPOND TO THIS RFI
Suppliers are invited to respond to this RFI by completing the attached Appendix 2. "Questionnaire". The form contains specific questions related to your services, delivery models, and capabilities.
Please submit the completed form by 30 May 2025 at 23:59 EET / 22:59 CET.
Send responses by email to: [email protected] AND [email protected]. Email subject: “RFI for Salesforce Development Services”.
NEXT STEPS
Upon receiving the participation email, Aalto University will engage in dialogue with the interested participants primarily through written communication (e.g., email).
Aalto University reserves the right to invite suppliers for further written clarifications regarding this RFI, to obtain information on market conditions and suppliers’ capabilities. The feedback will be used to refine the upcoming invitation to tender and ensure it aligns with Aalto’s needs for Salesforce Core development services.
