GENERAL
Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) has commenced the preparation of the procurement of an autoclave.
As part of the preparation of the tendering process, the contracting authority is conducting a market dialogue.
Please note that this is a market consultation notice, not a request for tenders. This market consultation notice does not yet invite the submission of tenders. Participation in the market dialogue is entirely voluntary. Participation or non-participation in the market dialogue will not affect a supplier’s opportunities to take part in the procurement procedure to be conducted at a later stage. The market dialogue does not oblige anyone to participate in the actual tendering process, nor does it exclude anyone from it.

PRELIMINARY SUBJECT OF THE PROCUREMENT
All specification mentioned in this notice regarding the autoclave are preliminary and subject to change.
GTK Mintec intends to procure a modern high-pressure autoclave system to strengthen its capabilities in hydro-metallurgical processing, pressure leaching, and metal recovery research. The equipment will be installed in the GTK Mintec hydro metallurgy laboratory and is required to support controlled high-temperature and high-pressure experiments with advanced process monitoring, improved operational safety, and reliable data acquisition.
The proposed system shall comprise a 5.0 L titanium high-pressure reactor suitable for corrosive hydro-metallurgical applications. The autoclave should be equipped with a variable-speed mixer with a maximum speed of approximately 2000 rpm, electric heating and water-cooling capability, and a maximum operating temperature of 300°C. The system shall include over pressure protection through a changeable needle valve activated at 50 bars, with appropriate emergency discharge piping.
The autoclave shall include controlled gas and liquid handling features, including an oxygen feed system with a mass flowmeter rated 5 L/min, a dosing system for water and/or acid addition, and a slurry sampling system capable of collecting approximately 50 mL samples during operation. The reactor should be mounted on a floor-standing support structure with safe and practical discharge arrangements
MARKET DIALOGUE
The market dialogue is intended for companies interested in bidding, and it involves providing comments on the preliminary tender materials before the request for tender is published. Written commenting on the tender materials is tentatively planned to take place in June 2026.
The information provided in this notice, as well as in the market dialogue, is preliminary and may change as the preparation progresses.
Please note that the market survey does not include a question & answer phase. Companies interested in the procurement are asked to register in accordance with the instructions described below.
Companies interested in the procurement are requested to send their contact details by email to [email protected]. Please use the following subject line for your registration: "GTK Autoclave procurement – Participation in market dialogue". In your message, please provide the name of your organization, the name of the organization’s contact person, and the email address of the contact person to which the draft tender materials will be sent.
Registrations for the market dialogue are requested by 28.05.2026, 12:00 (EEST, UTC+3) at the latest.
