Kuvaus
Ruka-Kuusamo is a year-round travel destination in Finnish Lapland, where visitors can enjoy outdoor activities and unique nature experiences throughout the year. The destination is inspired by Finnish culture, sauna traditions and local cuisine. The surrounding nature offers excellent opportunities for everyone to enjoy a wide range of activities and high-quality services, including hotels, restaurants and unique accommodation options.
For the winter season 2026–2027, Kuusamo Airport will welcome several new scheduled flight connections from cities across the DACH market. Therefore, we are seeking new opportunities to increase awareness of Ruka-Kuusamo as an attractive winter holiday destination in the DACH region.
The aim is to build a campaign concept and a B2C marketing campaign in the DACH market that increases awareness of Ruka-Kuusamo and inspires potential visitors by showcasing the destination’s unique winter experiences. Easy accessibility is a key part of the message: Ruka-Kuusamo can be conveniently reached through several direct flights.
Direct flight connections to Kuusamo Airport include:
airBaltic from Berlin and Hamburg
Lufthansa from Frankfurt
Eurowings from Düsseldorf and Berlin
Edelweiss from Zürich
The purpose of this marketing campaign is to increase awareness of Ruka-Kuusamo as a travel destination and, in the long term, to increase the number of international tourists visiting the area.
This procurement includes the following:
A) Campaign Concept
- As part of this procurement, we aim to create a comprehensive campaign concept that will remain relevant both now and in the coming years.
- The tenderer shall include workshops or other collaborative methods in the campaign planning process to ensure close cooperation with representatives of Naturpolis Ltd and the Ruka-Kuusamo Tourist Association.
- The tenderer shall provide a description of the methods, timetable, and pricing as part of the tender submission.
B) PR Actions and Reporting
- This procurement focuses on PR actions aimed at increasing awareness of Ruka-Kuusamo in the DACH market.
- Proposed actions may include press releases, press visits, radio campaigns, or other relevant PR activities.
- The tenderer shall present the most effective solutions as part of the campaign plan.
- A report on the campaign’s effectiveness and results shall be delivered after the campaign period.
- The campaign plan should include the proposed PR actions, estimated reach, geographical target areas, selected target groups, timetable, reporting and pricing.
The combined pricing for Parts A and B shall not exceed a total budget of EUR 42,000. The tenderer may decide how to allocate the budget between the two parts.
NOTE:
Outside the scope of this procurement and its' budget, there is a separate budget reserved for additional campaign activities, such as digital marketing, SEM and media buying. These activities will follow the same campaign concept and support the PR actions. However, this additional budget is not included in this procurement. Once the tenderer for this procurement has been selected, the additional budgeted campaign activities will also be assigned to the selected tenderer.
Representatives of Naturpolis Ltd and the Ruka-Kuusamo Tourist Association will participate in the preparation and implementation of the campaign.
The objective of this tendering procedure is to select one (1) tenderer offering the most economically advantageous tender.
