With this request for information, HUS launches a market consultation to prepare a procurement. The aim of this prior information notice is to find suppliers operating in this field of business, get information of the solutions available in the market, and inform our plans and requirements for any possible forthcoming procurement. Suppliers are requested to consult the information and questions of the RFI and to deliver their responses according to the instructions below.
SUBJECT OF PROCUREMENT
The subject of procurement is: HUS Pediatric Sleep Laboratory is looking to procure two (2) new PSG (Polysomnography) devices suitable for pediatric sleep laboratory use. The ones currently in use are set to be renewed.
Within their answer respondents are encouraged to also attach any and all of the following available of the products/services:
- Brochures
- Technical specifications
- User manuals
- Price estimates / price lists
- Periodic maintenance plan (need for scheduled maintenance, who performs it and the cost estimate)
- SpO2 measurement technology used in the system (e.g. Nonin, Masimo)
- System specific consumables and their prices
- Price of a possible on site installation visit, based on a two day installation period
- Any other relevant information
The PSG system must be capable of measuring at least the following signals. Please provide at least a YES/NO answer to each requirement with optional elaborations.
1. EEG
2. EOG
3. Submental EMG
4. Diaphragmatic EMG
5. ECG
6. Respiratory airflow (pressure and thermistor)
7. Respiratory effort (thorax and abdomen, RIP technology)
8. Oxygen saturation (SpO2), pulse, and plethysmogram
9. Body position
10. Video recording synchronized with physiological signals
In addition, the system must meet the following criteria:
- The system can be used for PSG studies in patients of all ages, starting from newborns (excluding premature infants).
- The system is wireless.
- Signals produced by external measurement devices can be integrated into the PSG recording when needed and are visible in real time during data acquisition. (Examples of external measurement devices are Sentec SDM and Medlab cap10. It should be possible to integrate parameters from respiratory support devices on demand, too.)
- The system supports ambulatory PSG recordings, for example in a hospital ward or in a care facility.
- The system can calculate a non invasive, continuous blood pressure estimate using pulse transit time (PTT).
- The analysis software includes an ECG artifact removal algorithm, applicable at least to the diaphragmatic EMG signal.
- The analysis software supports drift correction for the Sentec signal.
- The analysis software allows export of signals with timestamps in CSV or TXT format.
- The analysis software allows export of events and analyses (including sleep stages, apneas, hypopneas, desaturations, and arousals) with timestamps.
- A network license or other flexible licensing solution is available for the analysis software. The software is used on 25-35 different workstations, with a maximum of 6 simultaneous users.
- Shared analysis settings can be defined for all users, and deployment of these settings across all analysis workstations does not require user action.
