The object of this procurement is the delivery of satellite orthomosaic images to the National Land Survey of Finland ("NLS") .
The Production areas to be ordered are based on the national laser scanning and aerial imaging programme, under which Finland will be laser scanned and aerially imaged over a period of six years, excluding the northernmost parts of Lapland.
This procurement forms part of the NLS' preparedness for the situation where aerial images cannot be obtained from all production areas due to GNSS interference. Accordingly, the NLS does not commit to purchasing any satellite orthomosaic images from the chosen suppliers.
The object of the procurement and the production areas are described in more detail in Appendix 1 Technical requirements. See also chapters 11 and 12 of the Appendix A Contract.
TERM OF THE CONTRACT
The contract enters into force upon signature. The objective is that the contract will be signed by 15th of June 2026 at the latest, in which case the contract covers the possible needs for satellite orthoimages for 2026. However, the contract shall enter into force no earlier than when there is no impediment to its implementation within the meaning of the public procurement legislation, such as a prohibition on enforcement.
The contract shall terminate without separate notice once the supplier has delivered all products ordered by the NLS and both parties have fulfilled all their obligations under the contract.
The provisions concerning termination of the contract are set out in chapter 23 of the Appendix A Contract.
