Description
Biocenter Oulu, University of Oulu, seeks a system capable of doing dynamic light scattering (DLS), electrophoretic light scattering (ELS), and static light scattering (SLS).
The system to be procured must be able to determine hydrodynamic radius, zeta potential, particle concentration and absolute molecular mass of biological macromolecules (mainly proteins), extracellular vesicles (EVs), lipid nano particles (LNP), and other (bio)nanoparticles with high accuracy. The system will be part of the Structural Biology (SB) core facility infrastructure of Biocenter Oulu. The SB core facility has an open access policy, and the instrumentation and software should be easy to use and maintain. The system must include software to control the system and analyse the data. The system must be able to do the DLS and the ELS measurements with multiple samples in a flow cell in an automated manner. Ability to do successful ELS analysis also in high conductivity conditions (i.e. physiological conditions or higher) is required. The system software is expected to come with detailed documentation of all features. The software upgrades are to be made available regularly. The system and the software must be well suited to an academic multi-user environment.
The procurement is partially funded by the European Regional Development Funds (ERDF), BioParts project (A81573).
The contracting entity has a maximum sum of 140000€ (excluding VAT) available for the procurement and cannot accept tenders exceeding this amount.
The contracting entity suspended the previous procurement procedure related to this procurement in December 2025.
