Fintraffic Vessel Traffic Services Ltd is planning a procurement related to the delivery of coastal VDES (VHF Data Exchange System) base stations.
Fintraffic is conducting a market dialogue to collect information about:
- available VDES base station technologies and technical solutions,
- technical requirements and implementation options and
- potential maintenance and lifecycle service models.
PURPOSE OF THE MARKET DIALOGUE:
The goal of this market dialogue is to gain insight into available market solutions/ suppliers and
prepare the technical and functional requirements of the procurement.
The outcomes of the dialogue may influence the final scope and timeline of the upcoming procurement.
IMPLEMENTATION AND SCHEDULE
The market dialogue will be carried out between March and April in 2026 through the following activities:
- Written responses to the questionnaire (supplier information form)
- Possible teams- meetings with selected suppliers.
Participation is voluntary and does not create any obligation for either party.

A link to the questionnaire (Forms) is enclosed with this Request for Information. Suppliers expressing interest are asked to submit their responses to the questions prior to any potential Teams meetings.
