Natural Resources Institute Finland (hereafter referred to as "Luke") requests your tender for devices for quality assessment of sperm with this Call for tenders and its appendices.
The equipment to be purchased is necessary for the assisted reproductive technology laboratory which serves Luke's research, customer projects and the Genetic Resources of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery (Statutory and Expert Services, VOAS) strategy in a variety of ways. According to the strategy made for the assisted reproductive technology laboratory, the equipment is important for the development of stakeholder co-operation. The equipment enables objective standardisation of semen/epididymal sperm analyses lacking human factor. It is noteworthy that in VOAS operations, the use of frozen sperm is scheduled decades ahead, which is why the frozen genetic material must be of high quality and the information must be reliably registered for future generations. This equipment is crucial for this standardisation.
The call for tenders and the procurement is divided into three lots:
Lot 1: Computer assisted semen analyser (CASA) (1 pcs) for bull, boar, stallion, ram, dog and fish
Lot 2: Automated sperm cell counter (1 pcs) for bull, boar, stallion, ram, dog and fish
Lot 3: Portable sperm motility analyser (1 pcs) for bull, boar, stallion, ram and dog
Tenderer can leave a tender for one, two or all of the lots. The supply purchase contract will be made in each lot with one supplier.
The subject of the procurement, such as technical specifications and minimum requirements are described in more detail in the section "Procurement Object Criteria" and other procurement documents.
